Do you ever want to buy something, only to realise it’s really expensive? The cost of living is real, and many of us feel it daily, especially in a city like London.
One of the things I like to do to combat the rising prices is to shop at charity shops in London. Whether you’re searching for charity shops near me, affordable fashion, or even charity shop furniture, London has an incredible range of options. Some of my most loved pieces have come from charity shops across the city, which is why I wanted to put this guide together.
I’ve tried to gather as many charity shops across London as possible. Since I can’t realistically write about all of them, I’ll be focusing on a few of my personal favourites. If you’re looking for a more complete list of charity shops near you, you can find it here:

To make things easier, I’ve divided the list by East, West, North, and South London, so you can quickly find what you’re looking for.
East London Charity Shops
Spitalfields’s Crypt Trust
Some of my favourite finds have come from this charity shops in Whitechapel. I’ve found lots of great shirts and sweaters here. Definitely worth a visit.
Crisis, Islington
This is one of those charity shops that really stands out. There are always cool pieces, and they even sell furniture. I’ve also found some really nice bags here.
West London Charity Shops
Whenever I’m in Notting Hill, I always make an effort to stop by the charity shops in the area. If you’re searching for a charity shop London shoppers recommend, this neighbourhood never disappoints. Cancer Research and FARA consistently have great items, and I’ve found some lovely boots here over the years.
North & South London Charity Shops
I do owe an apology to readers from North and South London, I’m afraid I’m a central London girl through and through, so I don’t have personal favourite in these areas. That said, if you’re searching for charity shops in North or South London, they are part of the full list and worth exploring.
Charity Shops Online & Beyond
If you can’t make it to a physical store, many charity shops in London also operate as a charity shops online, making it easier than ever to shop second-hand while supporting good causes.
